Interpretation

Do-San is the pseudonym of the patriot Ahn Chang-Ho (1878–1938), who devoted his entire life to furthering the education of Korea and its independent movement.

  1. Turn 90 degrees to face A, move left leg into left walking stance, high section outer forearm block.
  2. On the spot, same stance, middle section reverse punch.
  3. Step turn to face B, right walking stance, high section outer forearm block.
  4. On the spot, same stance, middle section reverse punch.
  5. Move left leg to face E in right L-stance, mid section knifehand guarding block.
  6. Step forward to E, right walking stance, straight fingertip thrust.
  7. Release from grab (by pushing right hip forward and turning the palm down), turn 360 degrees anti-clockwise pivoting on the right foot to face E, left walking stance, left high backfist side strike.
  8. Step forward to E in right walking stance, right high backfist side strike.
  9. Turn 270 degrees anti-clockwise to face D, pivoting on right foot, left walking stance, high section outer forearm block.
  10. On the spot, same stance, middle section reverse punch.
  11. Step turn to face C, right walking stance, high section outer forearm block.
  12. On the spot, same stance, middle section reverse punch.
  13. Move left leg to face FB, in left walking stance, high section outer forearm wedging block.
  14. Keep position of the hands as in 13, execute mid section front snap kick with right leg.
  15. Place right foot down into right walking stance, middle obverse punch.
  16. On the spot, middle reverse punch (movements 15 & 16 performed in a fast motion).
  17. Move right leg to face FA, in right walking stance, high section outer forearm wedging block.
  18. Keep position of the hands as in 17, execute mid section front snap kick with left leg.
  19. Place left foot down into left walking stance, middle obverse punch.
  20. On the spot, middle reverse punch (movements 19 & 20 performed in a fast motion).
  21. Move left leg 45 degrees to face F, left walking stance, left outer forearm rising block.
  22. Step forward to F, right walking stance, right outer forearm rising block.
  23. Turn 270 degrees anti-clockwise to face A, pivoting on right foot, sitting stance, left knifehand side strike towards A.
  24. Move left foot to right foot, move right foot to B, sitting stance, knifehand side strike towards B.
