Interpretation
Hwa-Rang means "flowering youth" and is named after the Hwa-Rang youth group which originated in the Silla Dynasty around 600 AD. This group eventually became the actual driving force for the unification of the three kingdoms of Korea. The 29 movements refer to the 29th Infantry Division where Tae Kwon-Do developed into maturity.

Movements
- Move left foot to A, facing E in sitting stance, left middle palm pushing block.
- Execute a middle punch with the right fist towards E.
- Execute a middle punch with the left fist towards E (perform 2 & 3 in a fast motion).
- Move right foot to face B making left L-stance, twin outer forearm block.
- Same stance, upward punch with left fist, right fist to left shoulder.
- Slide forward in fixed stance to B, execute right middle side punch.
- Bring front foot back to make a left vertical stance, execute a downward strike with right knifehand.
- Step forward to B, left walking stance, middle obverse punch.
- Turn 90 degrees to face E, move left foot into left walking stance, left low outer forearm block.
- Step forward, right walking stance, middle obverse punch.
- Pull left foot to right foot, bring left palm to front of right fist, bending right elbow.
- Pull right fist back towards F with left hand (releasing motion), at the same time execute a middle side kick with right foot towards E, place foot down forming left L-stance towards E, execute a right middle knifehand strike.
- Step forward, left walking stance, middle obverse punch.
- Step forward, right walking stance, middle obverse punch.
- Turn 270 degrees anti-clockwise to face D, right L-stance, middle knifehand guarding block.
- Step forward to D, right walking stance, straight fingertip thrust.
- Step turn to face C, right L-stance, middle knifehand guarding block.
- Execute a right high turning kick to CE.
- Execute a left high turning kick to CF, land right L-stance, middle knifehand guarding block to C (perform 18 & 19 in a fast motion).
- Turn 90 degrees anti-clockwise to face F, left walking stance, low outer forearm block.
- Pull left foot back to right L-stance, middle obverse punch (right fist).
- Step forward, left L-stance, middle obverse punch (left fist).
- Step forward, right L-stance, middle obverse punch (right fist).
- Slip left foot forward into left walking stance, X fist pressing block.
- Step right foot forwards turning anti-clockwise, slide into right L-stance, execute right side elbow towards F.
- Bring left foot to right foot turning 90 degrees anti-clockwise to face A, forming a closed stance, simultaneously perform right middle inner forearm block and left outer forearm low block.
- Same stance, swap position of arms (perform 26 & 27 in a fast motion).
- Step left foot forward into right L-stance, middle knifehand guarding block.
- Bring left foot to right foot, turn 180 degrees clockwise to face B, step right foot forward into left L-stance, middle knifehand guarding block.
